Tube 2 User Guide From Visual IT www.visualit.co.uk

Overview Tube 2 is an application that assists you to use the metro, subway or underground transport system in many cities throughout the world. Tube 2 allows the user to view and scroll around a map, locate any station, plan a journey by selecting the starting and ending stations and have Tube 2 calculate the shortest or quickest route. The route can be displayed as a list of directions in text or graphically as an animated display. In situations where a line or lines are out of service the user can select to avoid these lines and Tube will calculate an alternative route. Pro versions of Tube 2 also come with a superb integrated street level map of the central city area. These maps have a find feature that enables you to quickly find any street, place of interest or station on the map. Some Pro versions may also come with an additional reference map of other rail systems in the area. These reference maps may not be provided with route planning. Features include: • Save time by automatically having the quickest routes to hand, with all the details you need included line changes, platform directions and accurate journey times. • No confusion on your journey, details include, direction of travel, end of line, towards information, and number of stops in each segment. • You can select advanced journey options such as quickest journey, fewest stops, avoid lines and quickly display return journey details. • List full details of the route and see the journey come alive with a superb animated display of the journey tracking around the system map. • Route indicator displays the colour code of the line your travelling on. • Intuitive interface with quick select dedicated buttons including graphically set start and end journey buttons. • Fast map load and auto-load last map option. Preferences are stored per map so when re-opening a map your last position, start and end stations etc are all restored. • Get the big picture & see exactly where you are in the thumbnail map navigation window. • Enhanced information feature, including, single tap any location for information & expanded search option. • Places of interest search categorised as, Sights of Interest, Theatres, Parks, Shops and Markets, and Museums, all showing closest station available. • Optional storage card install, Hi-Res & landscape devices all supported. • Quick Zoom In/Out feature., Installation The download file will be a zip file, and installation will vary depending on the device you have. Unzip the installation files from the zip download. If you do not have winzip installed on your computer you can download a free evaluation copy from here: http://www.winzip.com. One of the files in the zip will be the installation instructions. Please read these carefully. Registering your application The unregistered version will work for three days. When you purchase you will be supplied with a serial or unlock code in your sales receipt email. Please note that the code supplied will be tied to your mobile device in some way, so please ensure you enter the details requested carefully when you purchase. Note all device ID’s / user names are case sensitive so take care when entering during the purchase process otherwise this will result in you receiving an invalid registration code in the sale receipt and delays in you receiving a valid code. Palm OS versions require your Palm Hotsync ID / user name. Pocket PC OS versions require your Pocket PC owner name. Symbian OS versions require the IMEI of your phone. Starting the application Once installed, an application start icon will appear in the application / program list of your device. Highlight / tap on this icon to start the application.
